You, my dear Deeva, are spectacular. Beyond spectacular. You saw the line for spectacular and took a running leap and left spectacular in the dust. You made me laugh, cry, then laugh again. What you're doing is so beyond anything I would have expected - I just wanted someone to hold open doors for the person behind them. You can tell from your video you found a cause you're very passionate about and so many kids will be thankful for what you're doing.

You ARE a DEEVA in every best way possible and someone I admire.

p.s. What size shoes do you wear?

I've said many time before (behind your back),with Dee what you see on Twitter is what you get. No facade. Nothing catty or petty or mean. Just funny and kind. I'm proud to be your friend. And to be kind to you in return, I WON'T lend you any of my shoes. Dee, what goes around, comes around...so many amazing things will continue to come your way. YAY.

You are amazing Dee, I am so honoured to be able to say I know you and call you my friend. You inspire me, and make me cry!

I would share my shoes with you but because I am short and you are oh... 1 FABULOUS foot taller I am going to say they won't fit!

You are inspiring, beautiful and a woman with a vision...minus the whole obsessive Clooney thing (hello restraining order)...
You are a true DEEVA in every sense of the word.

OMG Crying out loud, Katie & Andie are watching as well, my beautiful dear daughters are asking if you are Barbie...no girls she is the Cocktail Angel. OK you have inspired me, but now I question, what can little old me do? I teach peace, I practice good karma but do I really do anything?

This blog post is just oozing with kindness, it's gunking up my keyboard. You are an amazing woman and I feel lucky to have met you at Blissdom. By simply sharing this video, you already suck less in my books.

A truly heartfelt, amazing, and Deeva thing to do. What an example to us all. Klout calls some Bloggers/Tweeters influencers, but it's actions plans, actions, and sentiments like this one that really make someone an influencer.

Dee I am so grateful that you are in my life and that I get to call you one of my closest friends. You've made me cry and be thankful and want to give so much more of myself. I may not wear Deeva shoes but what I have is yours! Thank you.

I have been seeing these hashtags all week and had no real idea what they were about - other than a vague guess. Your vlog was lovely and heartfelt and you seem a whole lot approachable and lovely. Sad not to have met you yet. I appreciate that you have got others thinking and I think that in some ways that is an even greater contribution with exponential payoffs. You have got me thinking now too. I have been spending the month being very busy with deadlines and etc. and trying to save the world for children without permanent homes - 30,000 children in Canada without a family. That makes me sick and sad. And there has to be a way to get the message out better than this, that children cannot wait for homes. They cannot live in foster care bumping from home to home without roots. 9300 kids in Ontario without families. Hundred of those are teens that graduate every year to age out of the system. No family for Xmas. No family for any other major event. It is all intertwined with poverty and hunger and social systems that fail children and families. This is a beautiful pledge by you.

And no don't watch tv before bed. Horrid Horrid idea.

Dee, you are beyond fabulous. You have the biggest, kindest, most open heart ever. I'm so glad to know you and call you my friend.

My feet are kinda small, so I don't think I can help you out there. Your older daughter might be able to wear them though!
Much love!

Dee, this is an amazing post - you are changing the world in your own way, I'm sure shoe karma will be in your favour :)
I love the #bekind in your own backyard statement - it is so true!
Love the post, love the initiative you are taking, love the inspiration of the other three women. So powerful.

Speaking as someone who has had to use the foodbank in the not so distant past, and who will probably have to use it again in the not so distant future, Thank you. Its funny how so many people take food for granted. You always hear "Theres starving children in Africa"... yeah... well... theres hungry folk here too.

And kids aside, food banks allow parents not to have to choose between feeding their children and feeding themselves. No one should have to go hungry.

Again Dee, thank you.

Love, Someone who will be personally touched by your kindness

Growing up as a child on welfare I relied on the kindness of the foodbank and people with generous hearts and spirits. So from my 7 year old self I am giving you a big virtual hug. Thank you.

What a lovely post, and a lovely thing to do. Your kindness will multiply a thousand fold. Think of all the people you'll be helping, people will remember what YOU did for them and will pay it forward to others.

I believe in the power of one, and you just proved me right! :)

Oh Dee, there you go making me cry. I love what you are doing and how you are doing it. I struggle often with saving the world when there are people right down the street that may need my $5, $10 or $20. Will be out there supporting you whenever I can in 2011
