He Loves Me He Loves Me Not

Well Valentine's Day is just around the corner so I decided to find out what L.O.V.E means to me, after the 4 Mʼs: marriage, monogamy, mortgage and mayhem ( 4 kids). I had to do a little research to write this piece, using my research subject, my husband.

I have to say this made me a little anxious. I started by asking him if he loved me. I know we say “I love you” everyday, but asking it outright is a totally d

ifferent thing. His response: “Yes, very much”. So we are off to a good start. Then I took a deep breath and went for it; I asked him “Why do you love me?” This is harder to do than you think. I encourage you to give it a try.

You have to understand two things about my husband:
1. He is incapable of telling a lie. Him trying to lie would be like Joan Rivers denying she had a face lift.....
2. He is not big on the whole “letʼs share our feelings” st

uff. Some might call him the strong silent type, more often the word MUTE comes to mind.

So as you can imagine, he is loving my research. So, his response to my question? “Because you're you.” Now he said this without an ounce of hesitation or thought, it was a natural reaction. This left me speechless for a moment, which is a feat in itself. What stunned me even more is that I just smiled and accepted his answer for what it was.

Now you have to know a bit about me and that no

rmally I would over analyze, and dissect that answer like a grade 9 biology project. For example, I would want to know what he meant by “because you're you”. Shouldnʼt the answer be because of the size of my breasts or my butt? Or because I keep you happy "wink wink"? Or would you love me less if my thighs were bigger, my hair was grayer or God forbid growing on my upper lip? But instead I said nothing, I smiled and sa

t quietly holding his hand. Because if there is one thing that I

have learned about most men, is that they have no hidden meaning behind what they say, they simply say what they mean. And on this night, my husband said exactly what I needed to hear.

So he is now my prince charming, at least until he puts his foot in his mouth once again... This is what L.O.V.E means to me.

“He Loves Me” Martini, with a side of send the kids to Grandmaʼs house

1 ounce Pomegranate Liqueur
1 ounce Vodka

2 ounces pink grapefruit juice
lemon wedge
Shake all ingredients with ice and pour into a sugar rimmed martini glass. Consume these liberally and then go get..."HAPPY"!

I'm A Walk'n

Hello all,

So I did it! I signed up for the 60km walk to end breast cancer. Thanks to the inspiration of my friend Kathleen, I am putting my feet on the line for my boobs.

Why am I walking you ask???
It's simple...I LOVE MY BOOBIES....and I want to keep them healthy.

So I am going to walk for all the boobies that I know. My mom, sister, daughters, friends, Aunts, neighbors and strangers. I am even walking for all the Man Boobies out there. Because everyone is affected by this terrible disease.

Up Coming TV Appearances

Hello All,

Hope you are all keeping up with your New Years resolutions. So far I am doing great....This may all change when I actually decide to make one.

Well that Hallmark Holiday is just around the corner. You know the one, Over Priced Roses,waxy chocolates, crazy dinner reservations and sappy cards. yes that's right Valentines day...Oh Fun.

I personally believe in random acts of love and kindness all year long.

So my Valentines segments this year are focusing on a fun Single gals party. Since the big day is on a Saturday, there will be no dinner reservations to be had. So the best thing to do is have the girls over for a fun night in.
